Progress continues

Another day closely poring over entries for 100 Painters of Tomorrow, and some more really wonderful work has been discovered. We’re being as open as we can to different styles and techniques, from abstraction to figurative work, straight oil on canvas to mixed-media, sculptural paintings and even the odd piece of painting-as-performance. Preliminary reviews

We have just finished the preliminary review for approximately 25% of submissions, and we are absolutely thrilled at the extremely high quality of work that has been sent in from around the world. We’re already noticing some interesting trends, strange facts, and quirky statistics that are arising at this early stage. So far, the youngest applicant has been 16 years old, and the oldest applicant was born in 1939. We are making note of some of the recurring themes and ...

Underway

The selection process has begun! The mammoth task of looking through more than 4000 applications has started, with plenty of debate and close analysis to help us get towards our initial selection. More refinements will be happening over the next month or so – watch this space for further updates.
